THE HISTORY OF GROUPE G7

2004

S. Guillemette founds GS Construction in Sept-Îles in the North Shore region of Quebec.

2004

Guillemette brothers acquire Les Industries de soudure le Mineur Inc., a company established on the North Shore in 1971.

2008

The branch office Mineur Maintenance industrielle is founded to meet the need for maintenance services in the mining industry..

2013

GS Structure joins with GS Construction to consolidate the group's service offering. The new business specializes in steel construction.

Maintenance Sept-Îles, who has been developing expertise in the petroleum sector since 1977, is acquired.

Les Industries de soudure le Mineur acquires a 25,000 sq. ft. factory in Sept-Îles to develop its expertise in the field of industrial equipment manufacturing.

2014

GS Construction finishes construction of its headquarter in Sept-Îles. The contractor and its branches becomes Groupe G7 , which is composed of 5 specialized divisions: G7 Construction, G7 Manufacturing , G7 Structure , G7 Industrial Maintenance and G7 Petroleum Services. From this point on, the new business forms a multidisciplinary group that enables it to control field operations, to avoid confusion related to cascade subcontracting and to provide its clientele with unrivalled skills, availability and pride on the North Shore.
